A park with a Stone Forest in Uzbekistan

Stone Forest It’s planned to create a protected area with the Stone Forest in the tract Dzharakuduk Uchkuduk district.


The most interesting point of this territory is fossilized tree trunks or ancient stone forest that appeared here more than 9 million years ago.

Moreover, it was found imprints of the teeth of marine life in this area. It suggests that earlier Kyzylkum area was the bottom of the ocean, inhabited by stingrays, sharks, crocodiles and dinosaurs. Nowadays the work of protected areas creation and tourist routes development started.
