New collection of the State museum of uzbekistan

  Thanks to archeological work of the institute Art, the collection of 91 objects was given the Archeological State Museum of history of Uzbekistan.

  Four tissue samples (fragments of clothing V-VI centuries) were found in the settlement Munchaktepa in Namangan region. Here were found wooden comb, necklace of semiprecious stones and zerevs (subject for getting fire).

  A bronze hairpin, a stone ax, a spoon, printing, decoration made of white stone and semi-precious stones, an amulet with a picture of two deer were found in Jarkutan Monument (XV-XIII centuries BC) in Surkhandarya.

  Archeologists also found two interesting statuettes in Erkurgan. One of them is a man in the coat with a sword and a lamp, and the other is a warrior in a coat with a sword. Antique items were also found in Samarkand region. It is a female figurine of silver V-VII centuries from Jartepa, three silver bracelets of X-XI centuries from Urgut.

  These antique objects give us the opportunity to learn the life, culture and way of life of ancient people.
