On October 10, 2012 the Cabinet of Ministers adopted the Government order № 288 "About measures on further support and development of tourism in the Republic of Uzbekistan."
In case of late or incomplete payment by transfer for the tourist fee, the companies pay a penalty fee (0.15% of non transferred fee for each arrears).
The Order states that from October 15, the touristic tax will be the equivalent of 2 $ only from the subjects of tourist activities, providing services for tourists accommodation and having a license for tourist activities, for each day of stay.

The resolution approved the formation and use of budget funds under NC "Uzbektourism".
Thus, the means will be directed to:
- Financing of targeted programs in the field of tourism;
- Preparation of project documentation of investment projects on the creation and development of tourism infrastructure;
- Training and skills development in the tourism sector;
- Participation in international fairs and programs;
- Payment of membership fees to UNWTO;
- Salary and logistics of the central office and regional offices of the National Company "Uzbektourism";
- Repayment of credits and interest on them, attracted for the development of the tourism industry under the guarantee of the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
