Festival "khan-atlas" will be held in Tashkent

Annual festival "khan-atlas" will be held on 6 June in Tashkent. There wil be presented the collection of modern and ethnic clothing of young designers. An exhibition "smart fabrics" and International scientific-practical conference on the theme: "Innovative technologies in the fabrics for clothing" will be held on June 5 in Tashkent House of Photography.
Prerequisite for the participants of the festival is to use khan-atlas in each model of collection. "Khan-Atlas" is a traditional Uzbek fabric made in the technique of "ikat" with using of previous painted silk fabrics. Young designers will present for the festival's guests their collections of "khan-atlas", as well as demonstrate the creativity and the ability to combine the new fashion trends with national traditions.
Àrt-academy.uz reported, that the main purpose of the event is inclusion of youth to national values, the preservation of cultural heritage, traditions and customs.
